Hunt Southern Africa
Ithaka Safaris, owned by Pieter Swart presents to you the experience of a lifetime. Abundance of game, scenic nature and renowned hospitality is but some of the things you can expect when hunting in Southern Africa. You will be in the hands of native South Africans with expert knowledge of the country and game gained from an association with hunting since childhood.
The best hunting time in Southern Africa is between March and October. The weather is cooler and dryer than in the hot summer months.
Hunting is done mostly by walk and stalk. We recommend a minimum caliber of .270 for smaller plains game and .375 for larger animals.
Hunting takes place in all types of terrain from semi-desert to thick bush, from grasslands to mountains.
Daily rates include the full time service of a professional hunter and trained tracker; the skinning and field preparation of trophies, the delivery of raw trophies to a taxidermist for mounting and/or shipping, all accommodation, all meals and beverages (excluding any exotic drinks) and a full laundry service during the hunt and lastly road transport from the airport or hotel of pickup, during the hunt and back to hotel or airport.
Excluded is all charter flights, taxidermy fees, packing and shipping costs of trophies, Gratuities - which are at client's discretion, hire of fire-arms.
Game is abundant but we would like you to have a real African experience without the rush to get as many trophies in the least amount of time.
Bring your rifle, your spouse or friend and come enjoy the friendly company of the family Swart in Southern Africa.
Please note that any animal that is wounded will be regarded as killed.
We recommend a minimum of 7 days for hunting.
